SELF POOR TRAITS OF AN OBRONI
In Self Poor Traits of an Obroni, I recognise that the battle with my identity lies in behavioural traits and not with my skin colour.
To express this acceptance, I represented the home environment I grew up in. Using the corner of my parents' living room to create 7 stages in which these self-poor traits would live.
My lens became a mirror to reflect my lived experience through combining both my own clothes with my parents' to reimagine "Obroni Wawu" outfits.
